Anonymous asked: There's a fetishism going on at Marvel for the writer's own personal nostalgia and nothing else. Shang-Chi, Weirdworld, Devil Dinosaur. There's nothing inherently wrong with this but the problem is it is very specific that most the writer's cut-off point is before 1980. Where are the similar pushes for 80s or 90s stuff? I've found Marvel are mostly been this way for far too long. It's like those years did not count towards continuity.

As you say, you’re talking about the emotional attachment of our creators and editors, so the stuff that resonates the most with them is what they’re going to be most interested in. But that said, I think we’ve got different guys pulling from every conceivable era of Marvel history at this point, the 90s included.

There is no comic starring Deadpool currently in print. Any rumours you have heard to the contrary are lies spread by 80’s fans to keep the Adam X (the X-TREME!) lobby from their rightful place.
